Background
I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2025 with a BEng Materials Science and Engineering with a Year in Industry degree. I worked as a Materials and Processes Engineer at Airbus Defence and Space during my industrial placement. This was immediately followed by my first summer internship at Rolls-Royce, as a Lifecycle Support Engineer. The following summer, I completed my second summer-internship with Rolls-Royce as a Safety and Reliability Engineer.
I joined the STAR group later in 2025 to undertake a PhD awarded through the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) Doctoral Landscape Award (DLA). I am also a committee member of the Non-Ferrous and Light Alloys Group and the Student and Early Careers Group of the Institute of Materials, Minerals, and Mining (IOM3).
Current Research
My PhD focuses on the development of processing routes for endoprosthesis components using novel feedstock materials and the FAST process, alongside research in machining science and Force Response Mapping. The project is sponsored by Seco Tools and Element Six.
